The Perks Of Adult Cruises

from:

Not everyone has children, and similarly not everyone likes to be surrounded by them while they are on vacation. Fortunately there are an increasing number of resorts and vacations that are targeted towards couples who are travelling alone, and these include adult cruises.

Adult cruises mean you can enjoy activities that would be out of bounds if you had children. Some cruise ships have casinos on board that don’t make the ideal venue for young children.

Are Children Banned Completely?

Some adult cruises restrict the age of their travellers to eighteen and above, while others simply tailor their services towards an adult audience. Even if there is no specific age limit, you are unlikely to get screaming babies or toddlers aboard a cruise ship that has no real services for children. There are plenty of cruises that serve this purpose.

What Can You Expect From Adult Cruises?

Within the broad category of adult cruises, there are lots of variations to choose from. Some adult cruises are intended to be geared towards the romantic among us, and will no doubt be enjoyed by newlyweds and other happy couples.

Some adult cruises go further than others – and that does not just refer to the destinations. An internet search will reveal there are cruises to suit all tastes – including one which allows its passengers to travel naked if the desire takes them.

If you are very broad minded and looking for a vacation which serves that kind of outlook on life, there are adult cruises that are designed to attract couples. It can be a good way to meet other couples as well as visit far flung places.

You might be thinking that this kind of cruise rules you out if you are a single person, but that is certainly not the case. There are cruises tailored towards singles that are aimed at introducing people, and they offer galas, functions and dinners to encourage socialising.

By these examples it is obvious that cruises for adults are varied and designed to appeal to different markets. Within each of these markets you can find cruises that will fit in with whatever budget you have available.

Finally, if you find a cruise that appeals to you but it is a bit out of your price range, try and find something similar that is not as long. For example, you’ll no doubt enjoy your vacation a lot more if you book your ideal cruise for five days, than if you settle for less but go for a longer period of time.

On the quayside in Corfu, she was dwarfed by the intimidating bulk, in the adjacent dock, of an Italian cruise ship – the MSC Musica, doing a good impression of a Milanese apartment block. Yet even though the Thomson Spirit was a mere slip of a ship, for us passengers newly arrived from Luton, Newcastle or any of a dozen other UK airports – plus a few guests from Dublin and Helsinki – she was a ...
